Mission 27: The Final Defeat

Mission:
The Final Defeat
Team:
Veterans Will Furno, Jimi Stringer and Dunkan Bulk with rookie Julius Nex
Objective:
Attack the Witch Doctor head on and rescue team leader Stormer.
Furno's Log:

This was it. We had regrouped with Bulk and were now planing our final move. Our cores were getting lower by the second and with no guarantee helps coming were as good as dead. But I refuse to go down without a fight and Witch Doctor better be ready for what we've got coming.
I checked everyone had got the plan. "Bulk, your job is to run in a then draw as many of the beasts away a possible." Bulk nodded in recognition. "Stringer and Nex, you two will engage the remaining beast and remove their Quaza spikes." They nodded to and I then finished off the plan. "Finally I'll attack the Witch Doctor and get the staff of him. To our best knowledge that's what he uses to control the beasts."
"And if our best knowledge isn't as accurate as we believe it is?" Stringer asked.
"I agree." Nex said. "e can't rely on this, we need to re think the plan."
I understood their concern but every minute we waist puts our cores at a lower energy level. "We can't give up." I said. "Stormer needs us and this is our best shot."
"And if it fails." Nex asked sceptically.
"Then we'll go down fighting, together." Bulk cut in. "I know Furno's plan is questionable. But we we're made to adapt and that's what were going to have to do. This universe is constantly changing and is were not ready to do what we were built for then we might as well forget that were hero's."
"Then lets do this." Stringer said.
"Together!" Nex added.
"If every bodies with me, lets head towards Witch Doctor and show him who he's dealing with." I said and then we began the long trek towards our enemy.

I had to hand it to Bulk for helping me out back there. He's not exactly the one to make speeches but he managed to step up this time and I just glad if today is the day I fall, that I'll have him by my side.
Just then I saw a Waspix out of the corner of my eye and I shot up to face it. It seemed to be alone, possibly just a scout. His quaza spikes were glowing red and I knew that the Witch Doctor was watching me.
The beast flew at me but I dodged its stinger and prepared my plasma bow. He came for another attack and slashed my weapon in half. It would work at all any more so all I was left with was two crude daggers. I charged again and used the daggers to slice through the quaza spikes and the beast was free from Witch Doctors grasp.

We kept walking for a while until we reached the mine that Witch Doctor was last at. However, he wasn't there any more. The mine entrance to the mine had been blocked by rocks and the place seemed abandoned.
"Where'd he go." I said, annoyed by this finding.
"He must of known we were coming and moved on." Bulk said.
"No." Nex said. "The Doc's still here, I'm picking him on the scanner."
"Is it an ambush?" I asked while readying my weapon.
"No." Nex said, just as surprised as I was. "Scanner says he's under our feet."
Just when I thought things weren't going to get any worse I heard the sound of a ship coming in for a landing behind us. I looked up and got a nice surprise, reinforcements had arrived...

My Thoughts on the 2012 Villains

Hi,
In the last post I said what I thought of the new Heroes of 2012 and now I will talk about the villains. Splitface is a cool on and has a unique colour scheme along with some unique pieces. He is the only medium size villain and seems fairly armoured. His head piece reminds me of Thunder 2010 one a bit but it still feels unique. He will face Surge which seems quite cool but Splitface has the advantage of size. Toxic Reapa has top be my favourite and he is facing of against Evo. Although he is a small villain he is still really cool and has some trans-green pieces which look really cool. His body also seems different and I'm interested in how its built. Jawblade is a shark who will face Furno. He looks cool I'm having a feeling he's not going to do so well in an battle on dry land but its still a nice idea to have him underwater. He is also a small villain so size isn't his advantage against Furno but him being in his element is. Thornraxx is probably my least favourite. He faces Breez in a sky battle and has some nice coloured pieces but he just seems jumbled to me and I think he's going to be a bad seller. Now for Black Phantom who I couldn't stand in the preliminary pics but now he looks awesome and he's probably just being beat by Toxic Reapa as being my favourite. He faces Rocka and I must say that Rocka is going to have to have a lot in his arsenal to beat this villain. His colour scheme is well balanced and the dark red works will with the dark metallic colours were seeing. The that's thrown in their would normally put me off but they've actually make it work and I am looking forward to getting him. Please comment and follow,

My Thoughts on the 2012 Heroes

Hi,
As you probably know, the final images for the 2012 Hero Factory sets have been released and my thoughts on the sets have changed a lot. In this post I will talk about my thoughts on the 2012 heroes and I quite like what we're getting next year. Furno is probably my favourite of the heroes and he has some jets for an underwater environment which is quite cool. He also has a harpoon on his gun which looks cool. He has the original head from 2010 from the looks of it which is good news for MoCers. Breez also has the original head from 2010 and the original feet unlike the other heroes. She has quite a lot of bulk on her which is all right but she could have been better with out  it as it doesn't seen to fit her character to well. Surge is also fairly cool and has the same 2010 head. He has quite a bit of lime-green on him which is all right because that is the colour of his core in 2011 but now all the heroes cores are white which is a bit strange but it looks good but it does slightly take away some of their character. Surge is also smaller than Breez and Furno which is cool because it gives some variation between them. Evo is also a small one but still an awesome one. He has a new head piece as he wasn't around in 2010. His head pieces slightly resembles his visor in 2011 with the vents on the side but the lack of purple makes is feel less like Evo. Finally there's Rocka who is another big one but he still looks cool and has his own exclusive head piece which doesn't really define Rocka to much but the thing that does define him is the gold armour which is now available in a new size. He also seems to have some extra limbs but I can't exactly make out what that's all about. I guess we will have to wait till 2012 to have that mystery solved. Please comment and follow,

Hero Factory: Savage Planet Episode Review

Hi,
Savage Planet aired not so long ago in the UK and after watching it I was quite happy with it. It was split into two episodes which interlocked well together to form a one hour story. In the first episode we got to see Rocka 2.0 which was cool and along with that we got to see Bulk and Stringer in 2.0 as well.I think Rocka was more impressive because Bulk and Stringer just had their 3.0 bodies with a 2.0 skullcap on, there was no visor on either of them. Rocka had his own visor which was a bit like a mix of Surge and Breez's 2.0 visors. In the episode the Heroes split up into two teams, one with Rocka, Stormer and Bulk and the other with Furno, Nex and Stringer. Dee Bradley Baker returned gain as the voice of Scorpio this time which was cool. He originally voiced Fire Lord in the Ordeal of Fire episode so it was nice for him to make a return. I think Witch Doctor made a really good villain and he really did have an evil feel to him. He was enslaving the beasts of Quatros and didn't care if the planet got destroyed in the end, he was blinded by greed to get the Quaza from the planet. Rocka XL did fit in but not as well as I expected. He was pieced together by Furno and Nex using spare armour parts continently placed in the temple. However, it was still good and all the beasts except Fangz actually talked in it  which as all right but not entirely what I was expecting. I would rate Savage Planet a 9/10 because it is improving but still needs a bit more work. Please comment and follow,

The title says it all. New pictures have been released now and Black Phantom looks 100 times better. All the others looks basically the same to me but their may be some differences here and their. I can't wait for these new sets and am eager to see them on shelf's. Here they are:

That was the pictures and also on a side note, sorry about the lack off posts over the last two weeks while I was focusing on another blog which I just started up. Which one is your favourite based of these final pics? Mine's either Black Phantom or Furno. Please comment and follow,

Mission 26: The Lone Wolf

Mission:
The Lone Wolf
Team:
Veterans Will Furno, Jimi Stringer and Dunkan Bulk with rookie Julius Nex
Objective:
Regroup with the hero team and plan the next move.
Bulk's Log:

I was alone in a endless jungle on a dying world. Then I thought that I'd been in worse situations in my life time.
Stormer was captured by the Witch Doctor and the others are on the run like me. I would give anything for a quaza charge as I had been running for ages in an attempt to get rid of a pack of Fangz that the Witch Doctor sent after me. I've had a couple of run ins with the but mostly I've kept moving. They can track me no matter how far I go and I haven't found away to throw off the sent. That was when I got to the point of giving up but then my animal power kicked in. I'd picked up Furno's scent and I knew he was nearby.
Just then a Fangz jumped in and began to attack me. I threw him off me and got to higher ground. Instead of coming in for a second assault he howled with all his might and that was much worse. The rest of the pack were coming.
I jumped down and tried to shut the beast up but it was already to late, the others had heard the call and were already on their way. Still, I wasn't going down without a fight.
"There may be no communications but I can still call for back up." I said to myself. "Furno's nearby and with the power of the wolf I can call him in  to help."
With all my might I let out a mighty howl and prayed the the others had heard it. The full pack of Fangz then arrived and narrowed their eyes in on me.
"Okay." I said. "Who's first?"
One of them immediately jumped in but I threw him off. Another one then attack and pinned me to the ground. I held his jaws at bay but he wasn't going to give up that easily. I pushed him off and prepared for another assault but the quaza spikes on his back explodes into shards and I looked up to see Furno with his plasma bow in hand.
"Couldn't let you have all the fun." He said.
"Yeah, goo to see you to." I joked and we both burst out laughing.
"Hate to interrupt the reunion." Stringer said with a Fangz pinning him against a tree. "But we've got these beast to take care of."
"Don't be like that Stringer." Nex joked as he jumped in and pushed the beast away from Stringer. "After all we've got cause to celebrate."
"I'll celebrate when we've driven these beasts away." He replied and then looked at me. "Where's Stormer?"
"Witch Doctor's got him." I replied sadly. "Now lets take these beasts down."
After we had got rid of the beasts we discussed our next move. We had decided to head back towards Witch Doctor so that we could free Stormer. However, it was going to be a long journey and with our cores getting lower by the second, we had to be swift to even stand a chance of saving Quatros...
