Mission 17: Safe Cracker (2 of 2)

Mission:
Safe Cracker
Team:
Veterans Natalie Breez, Mark Surge and Preston Stormer
Objective:
Defend Tanker Station 22.
Breez's Log:
"Not good." I said finally. Me and Surge had been staring at the vault for a while and didn't really know what to do.
"We're going to have to follow him, were Hero's now and this is our duty." Surge said proudly. "Its Like you said earlier, if we were rookies we wouldn't be here in the first place."
I was a bit shocked to hear Surge say that and I knew he was right. He isn't the annoying little rookie I didn't know before.
"Yeah, lets get moving." I said and with that, we descended into the vault...

The vault was underground and the catacombs stretched across about half of Tanker Station 22, in other words there's a lot of fuel down here. I heard footsteps in the distance and signalled Surge to stay behind me. I thought I had this one when I heard Surge fall to the ground behind me. I whirled round to see Nitroblast, he had us ambushed and now I was all alone against one of the most notorious villains in history.
"Greetings hero." He said in a low voice. "I think you've been looking for me."
"So it was you who broke in while me and Surge were fighting the Fire Lord."
"Well, who were you expecting, Jetbug? That insect would have kept all the oil for himself."
"And you wouldn't have." I shot back at him.
"Ah... you misunderstand me. I am totally loyal to my master. Those other two laugh at me, mock me, but no more as soon as this battles over I'm going to deal with those two personally." His voice was getting more brutal and I could tell he was going to strike soon. "In fact, I really should be thanking you hero's for getting Drilldozer out of my way."
"You'd betray your own team mates?"
"Betray? They are the traitors, they are going to attack the Fire Lord the second they are strong enough. I will move them earlier and save my master the effort."
I couldn't wait any longer I had to strike now. I charged at him and hit him with the end of my blade. He then activated his flame thrower and a bright light filled the vault. I only narrowly avoided the flames. He then shot a lava-sphere at me and a massive explosion weakened the structure of the roof above us. I threw a Hero-Charge at him and there was nowhere for him to run. The explosion made him fall to the flour, unconscious. The roof the exploded above me and I looked up to see Jetbug staring down at his ally.
"Nitroblast!" He screamed.
"Take a long look Jetbug!" I said. "Because your next!"

Me and Surge had climbed out of the vault but Jetbug had got away.
"Nice job Breez, you too Surge." Stormer congratulated.
"And now we know the true enemy's strength." I said.
"And we've weakened their arsenal." Surge finish.
I know it wasn't long know until the Fire Lord shows his face again, all we have to do is wait, 'cause I know were ready for him.

New Hero Factory 3.0 Pictures!!!

Hi,
New images have been going around after they were found on the German Toy Shop: Mikado. Only the Hero's were found so we still have to wait to see the villains. If you look to the right side bar you will see the 3.0 Hero sets were the 2.0's used to be. This time however they have links to larger images. Next post will be the next part of Mission 2.0 titled: Safe Cracker. Please comment and follow,

Hero Factory 3.0 Pictures!!!

Hi,
I found some images of some Hero Factory sets on Smashing Bricks. They look great but I don't really like the lack of armour on some of the Hero's but I think it might be connected to the jungle theme. Unfortunately, the images have the copyright stamp on it so I cant post the pictures directly on the blog so instead I'll give some links to the images bellow. Anyway, enough talk about them, here are the links:

My favourites probably Nex 3.0 because of the colour scheme and the great weapon. Also, it looks like they are going back to the old 3 fingered hands but last time I checked the Toy Fair images they had 4. I think there going to stick with the 4 or else they wouldn't have made the new mould for the 2.0 sets. Please discuss this further in the comments,

2011 Hero Review: Stormer 2.0

Hi,
I promised I would post this review today (18th March) and here it is. I haven't been posting much so far this month but hopefully I'll have more things to post towards this end of the month. Anyway, enough about what to come, lets get onto the review...

The build was same old same old for the new Hero's but its still way better than the 2010 sets. I'll give the build a 8/10
Now for new pieces. The new pieces are quite common for these new sets however he does have these cool spears that have been seen in themes like LEGO Kingdoms but this time they are blue and made out of rubber. I'm not sure why but the flexible spears are great. There is also a new body part that only he and Nex 2.0 have, its a smaller version of the average skeletal body that's seen a lot in the 2011 sets. I'll pieces gets a 10/10

Now for the design. One thing that's really cool about him is that he uses extended leg pieces that are often seen in the villains of 2011 which makes him more taller and fits the fact that he is the leader. Other than that its same old same old. I'll give the design a 8/10

Playability is the same for all of the new 2011 hero's, 6/10

Overall Stormer 2.0 is awesome and if your not sure whether you want to collect the new 2011 sets or not then Stormer is an excellent one to try out and get a feel of what these new sets are all about. I am not sure if I like Stormer 2.0 or Surge 2.0 better but they are both awesome in there own ways. Overall, Stormer 2.0 gets a rating of 8/10

Next review will probably be of Breez 2.0 but I haven't got her yet so it will be a while until the next review. Please comment and follow,

I still have three 2010 sets to review but I don't have them yet and I'm hoping to get them after I've finished my 2.0 collection. Also, in April I will hopefully be able to post some pictures of my Hero creations that I will make on Hero Recon Team. Next review is Stormer 2.0 which should be posted tomorrow or Friday. Mission 16: The Enemy Revealed (1 of 2)

Mission:
The Enemy Revealed
Team:
Veterans Natalie Breez, Mark Surge and Preston Stormer
Objective:
Defend Tanker Station 22.
Surge's Log:
Boring!!! Not so long ago, Jetbug had showed up and began torching the platform. After a short fire fight the villain activated his jetpacks and flew off. Stormer had ordered me and Breez to guard the warehouse while he and the others went of to continue the fight. So unfair, even the rookies got to go with him.
"Do you think that Stormer has forgotten that were no longer rookies?" I asked Breez.
"It's the fact that we aren't rookies that we are here guarding all this." She said with a calm look on her face. "If something went wrong, as hard as it is to admit it, a couple of rookies wouldn't be able to handle it."
"I guess your right." I replied.
Seconds later, a massive explosion shook the warehouse and both me and Breez prepared our weapons. A massive figure walked in and I knew that it wasn't any old fire villain. We were looking at the notorious Fire Lord, leader of the Fire Villains.
I couldn't be bothered to give him any chances, every time I do they just reply by shooting at me. I opened fire at him as Breez began to charge. We practised this strategy like a million times and know we were taking it out for a test run because as Stormer always says: 'Training and experience are two completely different things.'
The Fire Lord to a shot at Breez but she jumped just in time and landed right behind the villains back, just like in training, it all seemed to be going as planned. The shot that Breez had dodged made a catastrophic explosion which, again, made the entire warehouse shake. Breez planted a Hero-Charge on his back. She jumped aside as the Hero-Charge burst to life and released an electro magnetic pulse which drained the Fire Lord's energy.
"Yes!" I shouted out in happiness, but it all seemed to easy. This can't be it and unfortunately it wasn't.
The Fire Lord rose with up in laughter. Breez charged again but he swatted her away casually. He then took a shot at me and I had to hide behind a fuel container for cover, probably not the best idea but luckily nothing caught fire.
I took the advantage to call Stormer for help. "Stormer, come in."
"What is it Surge." Stormer asked.
"Jetbug sent you on a wild-goose-chase and the Fire Lord just attacked the warehouse. We need backup immediately."
"Okay Surge." Stormer said. "Hold out as long as you can. I'll get the group together and well head off to give you support."
And with that it was just me and Breez left against this hulking monster. At least we now know that help is on the way and, as long a Jetbug hadn't sent them to far, it is going to be here soon.
We continued the fight for a while then the strangest thing ever happened. Even stranger than Corroder's laugh, even stranger than the fact that Von Nebula used to be a hero, even stranger than Furno reviled fear of spiders, and believe me that was strange.
"You hero's have failed to impress me." He said coldly, if that was possible for someone who spent all his time around fire. "I was expecting more from the team that had defeated Von Nebula."
And with that he shot the roof wide open and flew off using his jetpacks.
"Well that was..." Breez began.
I finished her sentence by saying: "Odd."
"No," Breez said, a bit annoyed with me I think. "More like..."
She was cut of again this time but not by me, by the sound of metal hitting the flour. We ran through to the warehouse and went to the vault entrance on the other side of the room. The entrance had been sliced open and I had a funny felling that the Fire Lord wasn't the only one who had broken in...
