2011 Hero Review: Furno 3.0

Hi,
My brother got Furno for Christmas and as my last post in 2011 I'm going to review him. Since it is my brothers set you will see his opinion at the end so read on for that plus the review itself...

The build is basic and no different from the others. It gets an 8/10

The new pieces are cool but their aren't many of them in this set. The wing pieces are cool but we've seen them on Raw-Jaw as tusks so they aren't exclusive. The exclusive hero badge is cool but not to different from the others. The only other new piece is the Head which is awesome and looks like an eagle however sometimes it gets in the way of articulation but on its own its great. I'll give the new pieces a 7/10

The design is good and he does look like he's an aerodynamic hero but I feel that parts are often clashing and articulation is restricted. I don't mind the upper leg armours absence to much however I would have preferred the skeletal pieces there to be red instead of black. I tried swooping them out with the ones on Raw-Jaw and I think it looks better but like I said before I'm not to bothered about it. The weapon is good and it works a plasma bow. I find it a good use of some older pieces an I can imagine it being a bow. I'll give the design an 8/10

The playability is good but needs more figures to make it great. It's a 5/10

Overall Furno is a nice model model but it isn't one of the best. I do like his weapon and his head  but the way he's gome together isn't the best and the amount of new pieces isn't the best either. However, I give him an overall rating of 8/10

That was my review of Furno and I hope that you enjoyed it as a last post for 2011. I do recommend this set but if you are getting just a few of the Savage Planet sets then I would recommend you miss him out. Now onto what my brother thinks...

One thing I like about him is the wings plus the bow because they are very unique. I don't like the fact that he doesn't have much armour because his legs are his weak spot. Overall I give him an 8/10

That was my brothers opinion on Furno. More reviews will be coming in January so look for them. Please comment and follow,

2011 Villain Review: Fangz

Hi,
I recived Fangz as a Christmas present and I must say that he does not disappoint. I would recommend him especial if you have the Witch Doctor as Fangz looks great as a pet beside his master. I would also recommend buying multiples if you have the money to spare. Now onto why I like him so much...

The build was cool and different due to his animal design. It is easy but fun at the same time. It's for these reasons I give the Build a 9/10

The new pieces are great. Three Quaza spikes are feature so its a good way to build them up and He has a lot of printed armour pieces and the best part is that they're translucent. His tail is made up of a spike piece introduced in this Savage Planet series and I first say it on Rocka as part of his weapon. The head piece is great and really catch's a robotic but still hound like feel within it. I'll give the new pieces a 9/10

The design is great and is what I really like about the set. It defiantly has a hound like feel to it and I can imagine it acting like a dog. However, it still maintains that vicious side that is shown by all the spikes. I'll give the design a 10/10

The playability is okay but with no launcher I'll have to mark it down to a rating of 5/10

Overall, Fangz is really nice and is just an awesome set. The build is good and it comes together into this really nice set. Pieces are good for MoCing with so that is an added bonus. I'll give the set an overall rating of 10/10

That was my review of Fangz and as I've said before it is recommended by me. If you haven't got it yet then I'd pick one up. Please comment and follow,

2011 Hero Review: Stringer 3.0

Hi,
My brother got Stringer yesterday which was the day after Christmas and I thought I'd review him before getting onto to some of the bigger ones. This also means that me and my brother have all the 2011 sets which is a very big achievement as we have never completed a whole theme before and I'm going to aim to make it two years in a row by completing it next year too. Now onto the review...

The build was basic but fun and gets an 8/10

The new pieces are great but one thing I think is better is the re-colours in black. We have the chest piece in black and the body armour and the core in a flame yellow. The feet are now in black and the spike pieces are in the flame yellow too. The main new piece is the head which is really cool. The eye sockets are small but it works with the bear theme. It also has enough of a mechanical feel to give it a good mixture. He also has new pieces that act as part of his claw and they come in flame yellow. They look cool but not to much. The base of the claw is the same piece that comes as the base of Nex's weapon but its now in black which is good. The exclusive hero badge is cool but the bear on it looks a bit like a wolf but it may just be me. I'll give the new pieces a 10/10

The design is awesome and works well with the bear theme of him. It keeps the essence of the original Stringer but has a slight colour change from orange to flame yellow. He has a bulky feel to him that I feel was missing from Bulk but it seems to not be as bulky as Stormer. I like the design of Stringer and give it a 9/10

The playability is same old same old and gets a 5/10

Overall this set is really good and I personally like it. If you're into making MoC's then this set is probably good for you to get some black parts and some of the flame yellow parts too. I'll give the model an overall rating of 9/10

So that was my review of this set and I think that it is awesome since this is my brothers sets its time for his opinion on it. Here is what he thinks of it...

I like the fact that Stringer actually looks a lot like a bear but I don't really like the weapon too much because I think the should of done a similar thing to what they did with Nex and have two hands. I agree with my brother on this an give him a 9/10

That was both mine and my brothers opinion on Stringer and there are plenty more reviews on the way so please comment and follow,

2011 Hero Review: Stormer 3.0

Merry Christmas,
I've just unwrapped Stormer 3.0 and have cracked the canister open and built him. I'm now going to review the set as a special Christmas post. I also have all the other 2011 sets to review except Stringer but I may have him soon also. Now onto the festive review...

The build was basic but fun at the same time. Its the same as all the other hero's really but hopefully in 2012 that's all going to change. I'll give the build the same old 8/10

The new pieces that are included in the set are quite nice ones but are included in most other sets. The only new and exclusive piece is his helmet which is quite nice and represents a rhino well. Stormer features a few re-colours too like the 3 long armour pieces in white which we have not seen before. He also has his exclusive Hero Badge piece which has a nice image of a rhino on it. The spike pieces that were featured with a lot of the early 2011 sets are now featured in blue in this set and tree of them are included which is a bonus. With all this I'll give the new pieces a 9/10

The design is unique and seems really bulky and it almost fits his character in some ways but I fell this whole design should have been more for bulk. The weapon is nice and unique. I like the use of the chest armour placed on the arm and it really looks good with the overall design. I'll give the design a rating of 8/10

The playability is good but needs more figures to make it great. It's a 5/10

Overall its a good set and I think that I really like it however it has its flaws and I thinks there's a felling that Bulk should have been like this to me but he is still nice and goes well alongside the rest of the Savage Planet sets. I'll give it an overall rating of 8/10

That was my review of Stormer 3.0 and he comes recommended by me. I do have all the other sets excluding Stringer so expect reviews of them this December and January. The new 2012 sets just came out yesterday in the UK with fairly reasonable prices and and the smaller sets are cheaper now which may be a result of the packaging but whatever the reason I'm happy for it. I hope you'll have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,

Hero Factory 2012 Summer Sets!!!

Hi,
That's right! Preliminary pictures of the new summer sets are going around and although for legal reasons I can't post them on the blog I will provide a link right here. I'm liking what I see but am not to sure whether its more of the Breakout or if we have a new story. Its still got the game points with a pic of Black Phantom on it so I'm not sure whether its the same game or just that its still preliminary and they haven't got a pic for the new game ready yet. I'm only speculating here but from the video on LEGO.com that I said about in my last post I think we were all guessing about Stormer XL for a while now. I doubt this is all of the sets next year because it seems that we haven't got enough sets. But for just four hero's and three villains, summer is already looking promising. Hero Factory Website Update!!!

Hi,
The HeroFactory website has been partially updated with a new mini movie which gives us a look at what's in store for a possible new HeroFactory episode. It has a lot of cameo appearances in it of characters like Fire Lord, Explode and Jetbug. We also get a cool look at what Stormer looks like in his new version, just hoping for a set now. But enough talk, here's the link. You may have also noticed that I changed the pics at the right sidebar of my blog to keep up with the new sets.  Please comment and follow,

Hero Factory 2012 Sets!!!

Hi,
Hero Factory 2012 sets are beginning to appear on online stores in the USA. Reviews are already  surfacing on Eurobricks and it shouldn't be to long till they come out in the rest of the world. If your in the USA its not to late to put them on your Christmas list but if you live anywhere else like me then I'm not sure if they're going to be released in time. On a positive note I will hopefully have some more reviews up after Christmas of the 2011 sets I'm yet to get. Please comment and follow,

Mission 30: Saviour of Quatros (3 of 3)

Mission:
Saviour of Quatros
Team:
Veterans Preston Stormer, Will Furno, Dunkan Bulk and Jimi Stringer with rookies Julius Nex and Daniel Rocka
Objective:
Confront the Witch Doctor and save Quatros from destruction.
Rocka's Log:

I admit that I've had better ideas but I'm a rookie so you gotta expect me to make a mistake every now and then. After the celling collapsed I began to dig my way out. As soon as I was free I was greeted by a familiar face.
"Rocka?" Stormer said while looking at me in shock.
"Yep." I said. "So how did you escape the Witch Doctor?"
"Forget that." Stormer said. "How did you get down here and why are you in the XL armour?"
"Hey?" I said quizzically. "How do you know that this is XL armour. The factory said that it was top secret."
"Top secret to any Hero except me." Stormer replied. "I was originally supposed to be upgraded into that armour if anything went dangerously wrong on Quatros. But since I was captured and you were the only one to escape, I it had to be you."
"You mean this armour wasn't meant for me?" I said with a feeling that my core had just lost a bit of glow.
"Hey don't beat yourself up kid." Stormer said. "Save that for the enemy their is a pack of 'em heading this way now."
I nodded. No matter how I felt, the mission was more important. I looked at Stormer and saw how tired he looked. He hadn't had a quaza charge in ages.
"Here." I said while giving him a quaza pack. "Take it, you need the charge."
"Thanks." He replied with a smile on his face. "Now lets take down the enemy."

After fighting through packs of Fangz we finally made it to a massive cave with a large structure in it. Around the sides were lots of skulls that made a frightening atmosphere and in the centre was Witch Doctor on a makeshift throne, barking orders at the beasts as they mined out the very heart of Quatros itself.
"This is it." Stormer said.
"Lets go!" I shouted as we jumped in and began battling the enemy. Many of the beasts tried to stop us but we defeated them one by one until I got to the Witch Doctor. Stormer kept the beasts back while I took down the Witch Doctor himself.
"So Rocka?" Witch Doctor said. "How do you like my little mining excavation."
"I would say that it looks pretty good if it weren't illegal." I replied coldly.
"You hero's were timid." He taunted. "You stopped mining on this planet for no good reason and now you will pay the price for your mistake."
"We had a reason." I replied with anger in my voice. "Mining would make the planet fall apart."
"And who cares about this planet." He said while loading his weapon. "No-one. All that is here is plants and dumb animals, everything is worthless except the quaza that fills this world."
I'd had enough and opened fire. Witch Doctor jumped away and then shot at me. I avoided that shot and grabbed him with my claw and threw him across the cave. I then jumped and tried to slam him down but he rolled away and used his staff to drain the quaza directly from my core. I began to feel weaker and weaker but with a final effort I shot the staff out of his hand and then pinned him down quickly. Stormer then grabbed the staff and snapped in two. The beasts became free and the quaza spikes impaled in them shattered.
"Looks like your reign over these beasts is over." Stormer taunted.
"NO!!!" Witch Doctor roared. "The quaza should be mine I retrieved it! It belongs to me!"
"Quaza belongs to no-one but the hero's Witch Doctor!" I said. "And don't you forget it!"
The planet shook again and I got a bad feeling that we hadn't saved Quatros just yet.
"Hey!" Shouted Nex as he ran in with Furno, Stringer and Bulk.
"Little late for the party you four." Stormer said.
"Hey don't blame us." Bulk said.
"Yeah." Stringer agreed. "We weren't the ones who shoot the roof down."
The planet shook yet again and more violently this time.
"Anyone got any ideas how we stop Quatros falling apart."
"Actually yes." I said.
I showed everyone inside the temple like structure that Witch Doctor had made his base and showed them a massive hole.
"Down there is the heart of Quatros." I announced.
"Looks a bit dim." Nex commented.
I took the remaining power packs that I had on me and began throwing them down the hole. "Everyone!" I said. "Fill the core up with enough quaza to stabilise it, this is the only way."
We all threw as much as we could into the core including most of the quaza that Witch Doctor dug out. Eventually it lit up brighter than a star going super nova and the earth quakes stopped and I knew that our mission here was finally complete.

We had got up to the ship and prepare to leave. The Witch Doctor was in cuffs and we were ready to go home. I looked back on Quatros and thought about all that had happened here. The planet had returned to its former glory and light filled the skies again.
"Hey Rocka!" Furno shouted. "Are you coming."
"Yep." I said as I ran for the ship wondering what adventures may lay ahead as I'm just one rookie and there's still a whole universe to explore out there...

More 2012 Pictures!

Hi,
Some more set images have just surfaced online however not a wide variety but the main thing is that it gives us a look at the new packaging they're using in 2012 along with some other things. Here they are:

That was the pics and I think they looks cool. I like that they are changing the packaging for the smaller sets and it looks more like a bag than a box or a canister but its still cool and I just hopes that its of a good quality. How does this make you feel? Please comment and follow,

Mission 29: The Escape (2 of 3)

Mission:
The Escape
Team:
Veterans Preston Stormer and Will Furno
Objective:
Confront the Witch Doctor and save Quatros from destruction.
Stormer's Log:

Personally, I'd had enough of the Witch Doctors rants about revenge and how he as cast out and what not. When you've been around as long as I have you get used to the same old story from villains. They never learn.
Unfortunately, I had been captured and dragged all this way underground to see some illegal mining excavation of quaza. The bad thing was that Witch Doctor and his beasts were fairly close to the core of Quatros and the planet was already beginning to fall to pieces.
I was about to lose hope until I heard the Witch Doctor say that the other hero's were on their was down to help and were going to be here soon. Now being the damsel in distress is not my style so I think that its about time I make an escape attempt and meet up with the others to attack in the greatest numbers possible.
I found the opportunity when a massive tremor shook the cave and stalagmites started falling to the ground. The Fangz that guarded me lost balance and I jumped for it. It didn't take the beasts long to come down after me but luck struck me and rock struck them, they were buried under rouble and I kept running for the exit.
"STOP HIM!!!" Witch Doctor shouted. "DON'T LET HIM ESCAPE!!!"
A Waspix dived towards me and I ducked but kept my hands up. The beasts tail slashed through my cuffs and I was free.
I recovered my gun and took out the Waspix before it could come back for another strike. I then ran though one of the tunnels with a pack of Fangz in hot pursuit.
I tried contacting Furno but all I got was static and mixed up words.
"Furno can you here me?" I said.
"Alpha... need... under... can... out." Furno said over the communicator from what I could work out but their was to much static due to the mineral compound down here.
I could hear the Fangz behind me and decided to keep running. I didn't stop until I reached a dead end and I prepared to face the beasts. I thought that things were bad enough as they were but just the a giant claw ripped though the wall in front and I feared for the worst...

Hero Recon Team Update!!!

Hi,
The LEGO Design By Me program is planned to end on 16th January 2012 and custom models will not be able to be ordered after this date. However the program will still allow you to create models just not order them home. The LEGO company claims that it is hard to master for little kids and is trying to come up with a better way to do this. On the bright side the Hero Recon Team program will still be up and models will still be able to be purchased of there after the 16th January 2012. What do you think about this? Review Update

Hi,
Its been a while since I've made a post and with nothing much to blog about I decided just to do an overall update of reviews and some other stuff. There will probably be no reviews in November as Christmas is drawing near so I'll save all the reviews for December. Meanwhile I'll be finishing off Mission on Savage Planet which only has two missions to go. The story will be finished up by the end of November and will finish up the first series of missions. I am still deciding whether to change the style of missions for series two or keep it as it is, that is where you get your say. Please leave a comment bellow about whether you think I should change the style of the missions or keep them the same and also following the blog would be appreciated if your not already,

Mission 28: Going Under (1 of 3)

Mission:
Going Under
Team:
Veterans Will Furno, Jimi Stringer and Dunkan Bulk with rookie Julius Nex and Daniel Rocka
Objective:
Confront the Witch Doctor and save Quatros from destruction.
Rocka's Log:

Once I returned to the Hero Factory and gave my mission report the workers at the Factory knew that we had to surprise Witch Doctor with something knew. When I returned to Quatros my fellow hero's were certainly surprised by it. I was the first Hero of the new XL series.
"Miss me?" I asked sarcastically.
"Not to much." Furno said with a smile.
I gave them each a quaza power pack because they looked like they needed charging up. They then explained the situation to me and I knew what we had to do go underground and save Stormer.
Since the main entrance had collapsed we had to find another one. Luckily Bulk knew where one was from our first assault on Quatros and all we had to do was hope it was intact.
Nex then approached me and asked: "How's it feel."
"What do you mean?" I replied.
"Being so big."
"I'm not really sure." I said. "I guess it makes me feel stronger but other than that it just feels like I'm... me."
"Its good to see you though." He said. "We were not sure that anyone was coming for us."
"I wasn't going to give up." I said. "I was going to get reinforcements no matter what, its just that I didn't think I was going to be a one-hero-army."
"Me neither." Nex said with a chuckle.
I was about to reply but Stringer cut me off. "We're here!" He said.
"Good." I said. "Now lets get down their and show Witch Doctor who he's messing with."

We had been travelling underground for a while and we eventually came to a fork in the path.
"What do we do?" Bulk asked. "Split up?"
"I don't think that's a good idea" I said. "We need to attack the Witch Doctor in high numbers. Nex?"
"The doc's this way according to the scanner." Nex said.
"Then that's the way we go." I ordered.
"But that's not the only thing I'm picking up." Nex said while stopping me from marching on. "I'm also picking up something much closer."
"What is it?" Furno asked.
"It's a Scorpio." Bulk whispered while stuttering in fear.
"Hey how did you know that?" Furno replied.
Bulk didn't have to say anything, he just pointed his finger down the tunnel.
"How did that thing even fit down here?" Stringer asked sarcastically.
"Don't know but it ain't staying." I said as I opened fire on the beast. At first it seemed like a good idea but the I realised how wrong I was. One shot went wrong suddenly the whole sealing came collapsing down on me and then I could feel a enormous weight pressing against me and if it hadn't been for my XL armour I be flattened. However, with or without the armour, I'm still stuck between a rock and a hard place...

Mission 27: The Final Defeat

Mission:
The Final Defeat
Team:
Veterans Will Furno, Jimi Stringer and Dunkan Bulk with rookie Julius Nex
Objective:
Attack the Witch Doctor head on and rescue team leader Stormer.
Furno's Log:

This was it. We had regrouped with Bulk and were now planing our final move. Our cores were getting lower by the second and with no guarantee helps coming were as good as dead. But I refuse to go down without a fight and Witch Doctor better be ready for what we've got coming.
I checked everyone had got the plan. "Bulk, your job is to run in a then draw as many of the beasts away a possible." Bulk nodded in recognition. "Stringer and Nex, you two will engage the remaining beast and remove their Quaza spikes." They nodded to and I then finished off the plan. "Finally I'll attack the Witch Doctor and get the staff of him. To our best knowledge that's what he uses to control the beasts."
"And if our best knowledge isn't as accurate as we believe it is?" Stringer asked.
"I agree." Nex said. "e can't rely on this, we need to re think the plan."
I understood their concern but every minute we waist puts our cores at a lower energy level. "We can't give up." I said. "Stormer needs us and this is our best shot."
"And if it fails." Nex asked sceptically.
"Then we'll go down fighting, together." Bulk cut in. "I know Furno's plan is questionable. But we we're made to adapt and that's what were going to have to do. This universe is constantly changing and is were not ready to do what we were built for then we might as well forget that were hero's."
"Then lets do this." Stringer said.
"Together!" Nex added.
"If every bodies with me, lets head towards Witch Doctor and show him who he's dealing with." I said and then we began the long trek towards our enemy.

I had to hand it to Bulk for helping me out back there. He's not exactly the one to make speeches but he managed to step up this time and I just glad if today is the day I fall, that I'll have him by my side.
Just then I saw a Waspix out of the corner of my eye and I shot up to face it. It seemed to be alone, possibly just a scout. His quaza spikes were glowing red and I knew that the Witch Doctor was watching me.
The beast flew at me but I dodged its stinger and prepared my plasma bow. He came for another attack and slashed my weapon in half. It would work at all any more so all I was left with was two crude daggers. I charged again and used the daggers to slice through the quaza spikes and the beast was free from Witch Doctors grasp.

We kept walking for a while until we reached the mine that Witch Doctor was last at. However, he wasn't there any more. The mine entrance to the mine had been blocked by rocks and the place seemed abandoned.
"Where'd he go." I said, annoyed by this finding.
"He must of known we were coming and moved on." Bulk said.
"No." Nex said. "The Doc's still here, I'm picking him on the scanner."
"Is it an ambush?" I asked while readying my weapon.
"No." Nex said, just as surprised as I was. "Scanner says he's under our feet."
Just when I thought things weren't going to get any worse I heard the sound of a ship coming in for a landing behind us. I looked up and got a nice surprise, reinforcements had arrived...

My Thoughts on the 2012 Villains

Hi,
In the last post I said what I thought of the new Heroes of 2012 and now I will talk about the villains. Splitface is a cool on and has a unique colour scheme along with some unique pieces. He is the only medium size villain and seems fairly armoured. His head piece reminds me of Thunder 2010 one a bit but it still feels unique. He will face Surge which seems quite cool but Splitface has the advantage of size. Toxic Reapa has top be my favourite and he is facing of against Evo. Although he is a small villain he is still really cool and has some trans-green pieces which look really cool. His body also seems different and I'm interested in how its built. Jawblade is a shark who will face Furno. He looks cool I'm having a feeling he's not going to do so well in an battle on dry land but its still a nice idea to have him underwater. He is also a small villain so size isn't his advantage against Furno but him being in his element is. Thornraxx is probably my least favourite. He faces Breez in a sky battle and has some nice coloured pieces but he just seems jumbled to me and I think he's going to be a bad seller. Now for Black Phantom who I couldn't stand in the preliminary pics but now he looks awesome and he's probably just being beat by Toxic Reapa as being my favourite. He faces Rocka and I must say that Rocka is going to have to have a lot in his arsenal to beat this villain. His colour scheme is well balanced and the dark red works will with the dark metallic colours were seeing. The that's thrown in their would normally put me off but they've actually make it work and I am looking forward to getting him. Please comment and follow,

My Thoughts on the 2012 Heroes

Hi,
As you probably know, the final images for the 2012 Hero Factory sets have been released and my thoughts on the sets have changed a lot. In this post I will talk about my thoughts on the 2012 heroes and I quite like what we're getting next year. Furno is probably my favourite of the heroes and he has some jets for an underwater environment which is quite cool. He also has a harpoon on his gun which looks cool. He has the original head from 2010 from the looks of it which is good news for MoCers. Breez also has the original head from 2010 and the original feet unlike the other heroes. She has quite a lot of bulk on her which is all right but she could have been better with out  it as it doesn't seen to fit her character to well. Surge is also fairly cool and has the same 2010 head. He has quite a bit of lime-green on him which is all right because that is the colour of his core in 2011 but now all the heroes cores are white which is a bit strange but it looks good but it does slightly take away some of their character. Surge is also smaller than Breez and Furno which is cool because it gives some variation between them. Evo is also a small one but still an awesome one. He has a new head piece as he wasn't around in 2010. His head pieces slightly resembles his visor in 2011 with the vents on the side but the lack of purple makes is feel less like Evo. Finally there's Rocka who is another big one but he still looks cool and has his own exclusive head piece which doesn't really define Rocka to much but the thing that does define him is the gold armour which is now available in a new size. He also seems to have some extra limbs but I can't exactly make out what that's all about. I guess we will have to wait till 2012 to have that mystery solved. Please comment and follow,

Hero Factory: Savage Planet Episode Review

Hi,
Savage Planet aired not so long ago in the UK and after watching it I was quite happy with it. It was split into two episodes which interlocked well together to form a one hour story. In the first episode we got to see Rocka 2.0 which was cool and along with that we got to see Bulk and Stringer in 2.0 as well.I think Rocka was more impressive because Bulk and Stringer just had their 3.0 bodies with a 2.0 skullcap on, there was no visor on either of them. Rocka had his own visor which was a bit like a mix of Surge and Breez's 2.0 visors. In the episode the Heroes split up into two teams, one with Rocka, Stormer and Bulk and the other with Furno, Nex and Stringer. Dee Bradley Baker returned gain as the voice of Scorpio this time which was cool. He originally voiced Fire Lord in the Ordeal of Fire episode so it was nice for him to make a return. I think Witch Doctor made a really good villain and he really did have an evil feel to him. He was enslaving the beasts of Quatros and didn't care if the planet got destroyed in the end, he was blinded by greed to get the Quaza from the planet. Rocka XL did fit in but not as well as I expected. He was pieced together by Furno and Nex using spare armour parts continently placed in the temple. However, it was still good and all the beasts except Fangz actually talked in it  which as all right but not entirely what I was expecting. I would rate Savage Planet a 9/10 because it is improving but still needs a bit more work. Please comment and follow,

Hero Factory 2012 Final Pics!!!

Hi,
The title says it all. New pictures have been released now and Black Phantom looks 100 times better. All the others looks basically the same to me but their may be some differences here and their. I can't wait for these new sets and am eager to see them on shelf's. Here they are:

That was the pictures and also on a side note, sorry about the lack off posts over the last two weeks while I was focusing on another blog which I just started up. Which one is your favourite based of these final pics? Mine's either Black Phantom or Furno. Please comment and follow,

Mission 26: The Lone Wolf

Mission:
The Lone Wolf
Team:
Veterans Will Furno, Jimi Stringer and Dunkan Bulk with rookie Julius Nex
Objective:
Regroup with the hero team and plan the next move.
Bulk's Log:

I was alone in a endless jungle on a dying world. Then I thought that I'd been in worse situations in my life time.
Stormer was captured by the Witch Doctor and the others are on the run like me. I would give anything for a quaza charge as I had been running for ages in an attempt to get rid of a pack of Fangz that the Witch Doctor sent after me. I've had a couple of run ins with the but mostly I've kept moving. They can track me no matter how far I go and I haven't found away to throw off the sent. That was when I got to the point of giving up but then my animal power kicked in. I'd picked up Furno's scent and I knew he was nearby.
Just then a Fangz jumped in and began to attack me. I threw him off me and got to higher ground. Instead of coming in for a second assault he howled with all his might and that was much worse. The rest of the pack were coming.
I jumped down and tried to shut the beast up but it was already to late, the others had heard the call and were already on their way. Still, I wasn't going down without a fight.
"There may be no communications but I can still call for back up." I said to myself. "Furno's nearby and with the power of the wolf I can call him in  to help."
With all my might I let out a mighty howl and prayed the the others had heard it. The full pack of Fangz then arrived and narrowed their eyes in on me.
"Okay." I said. "Who's first?"
One of them immediately jumped in but I threw him off. Another one then attack and pinned me to the ground. I held his jaws at bay but he wasn't going to give up that easily. I pushed him off and prepared for another assault but the quaza spikes on his back explodes into shards and I looked up to see Furno with his plasma bow in hand.
"Couldn't let you have all the fun." He said.
"Yeah, goo to see you to." I joked and we both burst out laughing.
"Hate to interrupt the reunion." Stringer said with a Fangz pinning him against a tree. "But we've got these beast to take care of."
"Don't be like that Stringer." Nex joked as he jumped in and pushed the beast away from Stringer. "After all we've got cause to celebrate."
"I'll celebrate when we've driven these beasts away." He replied and then looked at me. "Where's Stormer?"
"Witch Doctor's got him." I replied sadly. "Now lets take these beasts down."
After we had got rid of the beasts we discussed our next move. We had decided to head back towards Witch Doctor so that we could free Stormer. However, it was going to be a long journey and with our cores getting lower by the second, we had to be swift to even stand a chance of saving Quatros...

Mission 25: Escape from Quatros

Mission:
Escape form Quatros
Team:
Veterans Preston Stormer, Will Furno, Jimi Stringer and Dunkan Bulk with rookies Julius Nex and Daniel Rocka
Objective:
Search for the Stolen Hero Craft and stop the Witch Doctor.
Nex's Log:

I was relived when I found Rocka in one piece. He was built not to long after me and we quickly became friends. He looked up to me a bit as me, along with Evo, were the first Hero's to be built in the current generation of Hero's. However, he looked up to Furno much more and studied all of his missions and this is going to be the first time he's been apart of one.
I managed to give some of my energy over to him so that he could be above a critical level but what he really need is a full recharge back at the factory.
"How are you feeling." I asked.
"A lot better." Rocka replied. "So... what happened while I was gone?"
"Not much." I answered. "We took out a quaza mine and then split up to look for you. What we need to do now is find the Hero Craft."
"Then we'll have to split up." He said confidently.
"No way!" I abruptly replied. "You may be out of critical but you are still in danger. I need to stay with you just encase you drop to low again."
"Fine" He reluctantly said. "But we need to move extra fast."
"My thoughts exactly." I said with a smile.

After a period of time spent searching we ended up with no findings. I was afraid for Rocka more than anything because I can't share my energy with him for ever. Stormer then contacted me via a communications link.
"Nex" He said. "The Hero Crafts been found, move to my position and await my command to attack."
"Got it sir." I replied.
"The crafts been found?" Rocka asked.
"Yep" I replied. "Now lets get a move on, we  can't be late and miss all the action."

We arrived at dawn. I could see all the other Hero's and the craft. I could also see a pack of Fangz and some Scorpio's. Most importantly I could see the Witch Doctor roaming around while barking orders at the beasts.
"Everyone in position." Stormer checked.
We all nodded at him.
"Attack!" He ordered and we all emerged and began charging at the enemy.
I took down on of the Fangz by swiping through his quaza spikes. He then was separated from Witch Doctors control and free to live its on live again.
"Nex!" Bulk shouted. "Behind you."
I turned and saw a Scorpio attack me from behind. I was knocked down and rolled quickly, dodging the shot it fired. Bulk then jumped in and shattered its quaza spikes.
"Thanks." I said.
"No problem." He replied. "Now lets beat some more beasts."
I took down another Fangz and then saw that Stormer was taking on the Witch Doctor. I then realised that it was only me, Rocka and Stormer left. All the others had been knocked down by the vicious beast which were now after me and Rocka. A Scorpio shot and I pushed Rocka away just in time.
"Your situation is hopeless." Witch Doctor taunted to Stormer. "You should just give up now and save yourself."
"Sorry to disappoint you but we Hero's aren't built to give up." Stormer replied, he then looked at me and said: "Get to the ship and use the weapons systems to get rid of those beasts, we can't beat them any other way."
I nodded and then ran for the craft with Rocka. We then started up the ship and Rocka told me some bad news.
"Witch Doctor deactivated the weapons system." He said.
Stormer replied while still trading blows with the Witch Doctor. "Get out of here." He said. "Bring back up and get your cores recharged. We'll hold out as long as we can."
"But..." Rocka began.
"Thats an order!"  Stormer said and we knew there was no arguing.
We started to take off when Witch Doctor pushed Stormer aside and came for us. "You will not escape me!" He roared and fired a shot at us. The craft toppled and I fell off. Rocka quickly grasped my hand and held onto me with all his strength. However, I t wasn't enough and I fell.
"NEX!!!" Rocka yelled, but it was to late. I hit the ground with a thud and then everything went dark...

When I woke up I was in a small cave with Furno and Stringer. I tried to get up but Stringer stopped me.
"Take it easy." He said. "You took quite a knock to your head there."
"Tell me about it." I said as everything came back to me. "What happened to Rocka."
"As far a I know he escaped." Furno said.
"What about Stormer and Bulk?" I asked.
"We got separated." Furno said. "And know we have no communications, no guarantee that anyone's coming and no way of being able to save Quatros. I think this missions just taken a drastic turn for the worst..."

Thoughts on Hero Factory 2012

Hi,
As you probably know the new Hero Factory 2012 pictures are now going around everywhere so you can type it in on You Tube and find them. This post is what I think of them and the comments is for what you think. I do think that they have topped Savage Planet with the new break out theme and the Heroes and villains are varied in size now. The small sets are: Surge, Evo, Jawblade, Toxic Reapa and Thornraxx. The medium sets are: Furno, Breez, Rocka and Splitface. The large set is Black Phantom which all of you probably knew.

My favourite villain is probably Toxic Reapa because he just looks awesome and really has a Meltdown feel going for it but it just appears to have more of a tainted gold rather than the yellow which Meltdown featured. Evo is probably my favourite hero.in the new 2012 sets because of his awesome new helmet which resembles some of his original visor with the vents on the sides.

Now for Black Phantom who has got everyone reacting to but not necessarily in a good way and I must say he is one of my least favourite sets for 2012 based on what we've seen so far. He does have a lot of Fire Lord similarities but actually I think that Fire Lord looks like a master piece compared to Black Phantom. I think they should have followed the same path as they did with Rocka XL because LEGO seriously needs to improve this model before it goes on shelf's. I think that the thing putting me off is the red which is kind of unnecessary and a bit thrown at you, removing it would change my views a lot.

Overall, I love the new sets and look forward to seeing them on shelves with the new packaging rather than reusing the old canisters that they've had for a while now. I also like the Hero Cuffs which we are finally getting. So that was some general thoughts on what I think and now I leave it up to you to fill the comments with your thoughts and please follow the blog while your at it if you haven't already. Talk to you in the next post,

Hero Factory TV Series in the UK!!!

Hi,
It's slightly old news but the Hero Factory TV series is on in the UK. Its on Saturdays at 10.30 in the mourning on Cartoon Network and is showing 7 episodes. It is currently up to Von Nebula so next Saturday will show Ordeal of Fire and then the episodes I've been waiting for: Savage Planet, which has been split into two episodes. I think that it has already aired in the USA and videos are on You Tube however they don't appear to be the best quality videos out there. I will be doing a review of the episode after it airs in the UK like I did for Ordeal of Fire. Until then, please comment and follow,

2011 Villain Review: Waspix

Hi,
My brother got this new set not so long ago and I will now review it and my brother will then tell you his opinion on it. So I do admit this set could have been better and its not really the best of the sets but its a good set and I would recommend it if you were fond of characters like Bitil for Bionicle. Now on with the review...

The build was not the best and I enjoyed Raw-Jaw's a lot more. It isn't much of a step up from a hero I would say for the price its not to good. I give it a 7/10

There aren't many new pieces on him except the head and his wings. He also has a corrupt quaza spike which is seen on the other villains for Savage Planet. His wings are cool but are a bit to big to be used as armour on MoC's. His head is all right but lacs any eye holes like the ones Raw-Jaw had. He also has a new part which is used to attach his second pair of arms on is good and provides well for MoCists. The new pieces get another 7/10

The design is good and the lack of armour isn't bad because it gives him more of a segmented insect like feel. The yellow and black colour scheme is nice and consistent and really does feel like a wasp. The design is great and gets a 9/10

The playability is all right but doesn't come with any projectiles unlike the 2010 villains and early 2011 ones. Its a 5/10

Overall, I like him but he is not my favourite and there are better sets out there. I would still recommend you get him but if you only want a couple of the Savage Planet sets then I would miss him out. The overall rating is an 8/10

I hope you enjoyed my review of Waspix and bellow is my brothers opinion. Since it is his set I do let him give his thoughts but I'm going to change the layout because the old one wasn't to good in my personal opinion. Now then, onto my brothers opinion...

I like Waspix because he has four arms which makes him look cool and unique. I also like his claws which work better than normal hands. I dislike the fact that his tail has limited articulation because the armour is to big on it. I give it the same as my brother which is an 8/10

That was my brothers opinion and I hope you like the new layout. I also hope that the review has helped you in deciding if you want to add Waspix to your collection or not. Please comment and follow,

New 2012 Set Rumors!!!

Hi,
The new LEGO HeroFactory set names have been leaked but pictures are still yet to come. It is unknown whether the sets will have 4.0 put on the end but we appear to have no new heroes and the number my be decreased from 6 to 5 but we will have to wait for more news until it is definite. Here is the list:

Rocka
Furno
Breez
Surge
Evo
Jawblade
Splitface
Thornraxx
Toxic Reaper
Black Phantom

So it appears the ever popular Evo is back a long with Rocka. Furno also makes his fifth appearance in a set and the big question is: where's Stormer. Is he the sixth hero or has the number really been decreased to five. I guess only time will tell. There isn't to much to say about the villains but the toxic waste mutation that appears to be going on. Please comment and follow,

Mission 24: Battle in the Sky (2 of 2)

Mission:
Battle in the Sky
Team:
Veterans Preston Stormer and Will Furno
Objective:
Track down Rocka and regroup.
Furno's Log:

As soon as I saw the group of Waspix above I shot up to fight them. With the power of the eagle I was able to fly meaning the perfect way to meet the Waspix head on. I shot at on of them and it fell to the ground with a dull thud. The others then came at me to avenge there fallen comrade and I was ready for them.
Unfortunately, I had to leave Stormer on his own to fight the Scorpio and even though he could look after himself, he may not be able to win through this time. The same could also be said for me with all the Waspix around me, I may have bitten off more than I can chew. But that wasn't going to stop me when two Waspix charged at me. I flew up and the beasts collided. They lost flight and fell to the ground.
A Waspix aimed its stinger at me and charged. I moved away but not far enough as a scrap of amour from my arm was sliced though and I was forced land on a tree trunk before the pain overwhelmed and forced me to lose flight. And an impact with the ground is not what I had in  mind.
I still thought on by shooting at the Waspix until they all fell but it was taking to long and half to the shots were missing.
I looked bellow to see that Stormer was facing down the last of the Scorpio and had almost finished with it. He would hopefully be able to help my shoot these down soon. All I had to do was survive long enough for that to happen.
It took a shot and another Waspix was down. I though I had this covered but I hadn't and a Waspix grabbed me and I pushed back and we flew into the sky. The beast pushed me back into a tree and I thought I was in trouble but the beast collapsed to the flour and I looked too see that Stormer had fired the shot that saved me from capture or worse.
Together we defeated the rest of them and I then came down to solid ground to thank Stormer.
"Thanks for the save." I said.
"Any time." He replied.
Just then Stormer was contacted by one of the other team member. He talked for a while but I could only hear half the conversation. When Stormer was done he summed it up for me:
"Nex has found Rocka but his cores soon going to be in critical." He said. "We've decided there is no time to regroup so were going to have to go find the ship now."
"Yes sir!" I said.
"We'll split up to cover more ground." He said. "Good luck."
He the then left and I did the same. However,I fear I'm going to need more than luck to get through this mission.
