Mission 11: Trick of Trap (1 of 2)

Mission:
Trick or Trap
Team:
Alpha Team Veteran Preston Stormer with Rookies Will Furno, Natalie Breez and Mark Surge
Objective:
Recapture Meltdown and Thunder who have recently escaped from prison.
Furno's Log:

Trick or treat? More like Trick or Trap as this mission was a tough one. It was Halloween and  everyone was having a good time, well everyone but us. Both Meltdown and Thunder had seen here and we were on duty searching for them. After hours of searching we began to think it was a prank call but then it happened.
We were on top of a bridge with the water flowing below us. Not so far away the water was falling through the industrial waterfall.
BOOM!!! Thunder had shot the bridge down and we were speeding through the river strait towards the waterfall.
"So long Hero's!!!" Thunder laughed, their was no sign of Meltdown, maybe the caller had got it wrong.
"Kid!" Stormer said as he grabbed my arm. He had frozen a strip of water anchored himself to the side. Breez had done a similar thing using her harpoon to grab the side of the river and had Surge clinging to her leg. We quickly climbed out and went to confront Thunder.
"Back for more I see." Thunder said, his voice shook the ground below our feet.
"Surrender Thunder! We've beaten you twice before." I said, my Dual Fire-Shooter aimed directly at him.
"Never!" Thunder said. "I would rather be a trash-bot than return to that prison."
"That can be arranged." Surge joked.
I heard a faint sound coming from below us. Before I could react the flour melted away and we fell into a hollow with piping on the metal walls. I felt a tentacle rap around my neck and pull me back.
Stormer quickly got to his feet and said: "Release him, Meltdown."
"Never!" The villain replied. "Now drop your weapons or your friend here dies..."

Dunkan Bulk Opinion

Hi,
I just did the review of my brothers new HeroFactory set and I gave him a 9/10 overall. If you remember my review of Preston Stormer I did a post about my brothers opinion, this will be the same only about Dunkan Bulk. Now onto my brothers opinion:

My favourite part about the set is that the weapon arm is more filled in than Preston Stormer and Jimi Stringer. I really like the colour because it makes him look tough. The leg pieces are the same as the other Hero's so there is nothing special there. I guess that's it, I would give Dunkan Bulk a 8/10

That was my brothers opinion on Dunkan Bulk and remember their will be no more HeroFactory reviews until Christmas but who knows, there could be a surprise review but I don't think there will be any more until Christmas. Please comment and follow,

2010 Hero Review: Dunkan Bulk

Hi,
My brother got Dunkan Bulk the same time I got Jimi Stringer and Bulk is quite a cool Hero. He also has a great colour scheme which is very unique. Now onto the review...

The build was the basic Alpha Team build except that the weapon arm is on the left instead of the right but that hardly changes the build. I'll give the build a regular 4/10

The new pieces are very cool. My favourite one is the arm because its not as hollow as Stormers and Stringers, unfortunately its not completely filled in. He also comes with a hero core that match's his head pieces colour. The body armour looks very strong and the colour adds to the effect. I'll give the new pieces a 10/10

As you all know by now, the playability gets a 5/10

Overall, Bulk is very cool. I would suggest not getting him in this set and getting bulk and vapour instead, unless you like the silver hand because of its use for MoCing or are a collector (Like Me) and are aiming to get all the sets. Overall I'll give Bulk a 9/10

Thanks for reading this review. I'm not sure what review will be next but I will probably be doing my brother's opinion on the set like I did with Preston Stormer. Anyway, please comment and follow,

2010 Hero Review: Jimi Stringer

Hi,
I've just got Jimi Stringer and he is awesome! He is my favourite Hero and he has a great colour scheme, reminds me of Halloween. Anyway, onto the review...

The build was the same as Preston Stormer, simpler than the rookies and you don't really need the instruction booklet. As always, I'm giving the Build a 4/10

The new pieces are basically the same as the other Hero's except they have a different colour. He has his own unique chest plate which has amplifiers making him look very cool. The chest armour also looks very slick which is cool. The sonic blaster weapon looks cool but, unfortunately, is hollow. However, all the amplifying equipment makes the weapon look good and his hand is moulded into it. I'm giving the new pieces a 9/10

The playability is not so good on its own, but together with some of the other Hero's and Villains it would be very fun (How many times have I said that?) so I'll give a 5/10

Overall, despite the arm, Jimi Stringer is the best. I only wish LEGO would fill in the hollow arm. Overall, I think he deserves a 8/10

By the way, Mission 10: Dark Reunion is my last mission for a while. I am thinking about doing a Halloween special but I still haven't decided. The missions will continue in 2011 when the new sets come out. Also, the next review will be of Bulk then that will probably  be it until Christmas but you never know. Please comment and follow,

Mission 10: Dark Reunion (2 of 2)

Mission:
Dark Reunion
Team:
Alpha Team Veteran Preston Stormer, Jimi Stringer and Dunkan Bulk with Rookies Will Furno, Natalie Breez and Mark Surge
Objective:
Capture Von Nebula once and for all.
Stormer's Log:

This mission was not going well. We had already lost Furno and Bulk, another loss and we would have to fall back. This was our one big chance to capture Von Nebula and I wasn't going to blow it. Then I looked on the bright side of the situation, we had almost defeated Von Nebula's army. Then it hit me. Xplode was nowhere in sight and their was loads of containers filled with flammable substances plotted randomly across the battlefield. I looked up and then the mystery was solved. Xplode was standing on top of Von Nebula's base ready for the kill.
"SO LONG, HERO'S!!!" Xplode screamed as he launched every missile he had at us. On normal circumstances this would have been bad, but with all the flammable substances lying around it made this extremely deadly.
"Everybody get down!!!" I ordered just in time the explosion came and I was almost blown away by the shock-wave.
"Stringer!" I said. "Take down Xplode!"
"Yes sir!" He replied.
"Surge, Breez! Get the injured to safety." I ordered.
They then went to do their jobs and I went to do mine. Settle a score with Von Nebula.

I guess I should tell you about my past with Von Nebula. It was when I was on a mission as a rookie .Von Nebula went by the name Von Ness back then and was a Rookie like me. Unfortunately our commander was down and Von Ness became cowardly and left me alone to fight the enemy. I had not seen Von Ness since, I amused he had returned to the factory at first but when I arrived no-one had seen him. Now the secret was revealed, Von Ness had chosen a life of crime and was now at the top of the most wanted list. Now I am going to bring him to justice.
I found Von Nebula easily.
"Hey!" I said. "Remember me?"
"Preston Stormer!" Von Nebula said in a low hum.
"Von Ness!"
"Not any more, Stormer!" He roared "I AM VON NEBULA!!!"
He tried to hit me with his Black Hole Staff but I blocked his attack with my multi-function ice weapon. Then I began a rapid-fire assault on my adversary. He was growing weaker and weaker every second so I paused my assault and said: "Had enough."
"Hardly!" Von Nebula roared as he activated his Black Hole Staff and defied the laws of science, summoning a black hole. I quickly jumped and took the Staff of the villain. I then deactivated the black hole and arrested Von Nebula.

I went outside and saw that Stringer had defeated Xplode and Bulk and Furno were back on their feet. We had captured all of Von Nebula's gang and finally captured Von Nebula himself. The galaxy could finally be at peace. But soon their would be another villain that will come on along, and when they do we will be ready...

Hero Factory is coming to DVD!

Hi,
The first HeroFactory DVD is going to be available on the 16th of November 2010. The DVD is called Rise of the Rookies and it includes the episodes that were on TV in September. Their names are: The Trials of Furno, Core Crisis, The Enemy Within and Von Nebula. Here is the description for the DVD:

Welcome to the Hero Factory. A place where the most advanced and skilled Heroes in the universe are built to serve one function – saving the world from evil. Alpha team leader Stormer is the best and toughest Hero at the Hero Factory. It helps that he has Bulk and Stringer on his team, but he is driven by something deep inside of him. Years ago, when he was still just a Rookie, he was on a dangerous mission. Their leader was wounded and it was up to Stormer and his fellow Rookie, Von Ness, to save the city. But Von Ness deserted him, and Stormer was forced to go into battle alone. He succeeded that day, just like he has on every mission since then, but he still carries around the feeling that something is left unfinished. A new Rookie team has been assigned to complete their training with Stormer and his crew. Furno looks to be the best Rookie the Factory has seen since Stormer was a Rookie himself. He takes his position as a Hero in training very seriously and yearns for Stormer’s approval, and will push himself to do whatever it takes to get it. He’s joined by fellow Rookies Breez and Surge, as they try to prove to Stormer and each other why they are ready to become true Heroes. As the six Heroes begin to work together on their missions, they start to realize that the bad guys they are fighting are working for someone. Someone from Stormer’s past, with an evil agenda to take down the Hero Factory and Stormer himself.

I can't wait for this DVD to be released in stores because it looks awesome. Please Follow and Comment,

Mission 9: The Fight for Victory (1 of 2)

Mission:
The Fight for Victory
Team:
Alpha Team Veteran Preston Stormer, Jimi Stringer and Dunkan Bulk with Rookies Will Furno, Natalie Breez and Mark Surge
Objective:
Capture Von Nebula once and for all.
Furno's Log:

This mission was destined one of the greatest in HeroFactory history, and I was honoured to be a part of it. This mission was a lot of things, but exciting was not one of them. Sure, it may sound fun but in reality this mission was deadly.
As soon as we landed gunshots began and I was almost taken out within the first couple of minutes. After melting some drones I focused my attacks on Rotor. He had gotten the upper hand against me last time but I wasn't going to let that happen again.
The one thing I did find odd was Xplode's absence. After the explosion we saw Rotor flying away in the distance and we assumed Xplode was with him. I pushed those thoughts out of my mind and went to face Rotor.
"Hey Rotor!!!" I shouted. "Remember me?"
"All you Hero's look the same to me!" Rotor replied. "Besides, soon you will all be part of the scrap heap."
"Don't count on it!" I said, narrowly avoiding his meteor blast.
Out of the corner of my eve I saw Surge and Breez take on a drone that was bigger than the others and was armed with more powerful weapons than any others I'd ever seen. I tried to ignore them. If I continued getting distracted my head my head would become detached from my body.
I knocked Rotor to the ground and stood over him."Surrender!!!" I said.
"Never!!!" He said as he kicked me and made me hit the ground.
I got up and looked to the other side of me and saw Bulk on the ground, unconscious. Then it happened.
"Kid!!!" Stormer called. "Watch out!!!"
It was already to late. Rotor shot me and I lay on the ground watching Stormer defeat Rotor, then everything went black...
