Mission 13: The Beginning of the End

Mission:
The Beginning of the End
Team:
Veterans Will Furno, Preston Stormer, Natalie Breez and Mark Surge
Objective:
End the attack on Tanker Station 22.
Furno's Log:

Tanker Station 22 is a key part of HeroFactory. Although it is off-world it still supplies a lot of the fuel that HeroFactory uses for Drop Ships and weapons. We didn't know exactly who as attacking the station but they had to be very powerful (or very stupid) to pull of something like this.
We were flying above the Tanker Station preparing to make the jump. I had to admit that I was nervous. This was my first mission as a proper hero and I needed to make a good impression.
"Listen up team!" Stormer said. "We are about to make the jump into the unknown. Anything could be waiting for us hen we hit the ground so stay alert."
"Understood alpha leader." We all replied. Its odd, when I stand around Stormer it makes me feel like a rookie again. Maybe it will go away over time, I'm a hero now and I need to start acting like it.
Once we were ready Stormer said: "Jumping in 3... 2... 1!!!"
We all made the jump and went speeding towards the station. Surge was having the time of his life, Breez seemed happy to be in her element and Stormer was as serious as ever. We all landed well with the exception of Surge who landed flat on his face.
"I'm Okay." He said as I helped him up. "My cores still intact."
"I wish I could say the same about you head." Breez joked.
"Hey!!!" Surge said.
"Quiet." Stormer said. "I can here something."
"Yeah, I can here it too." I whispered.
"What is it?" Surge asked as quietly as he could.
"Jet packs." Stormer realised.
BOOM!!! We were all blown away by a massive explosion. I had never felt anything like it before.
"So the Hero's have come." Said our attacker. "Just as Nitroblast predicted."
"Who are you?" Stormer said pointing his gun at the villain.
"The names Jetbug." He said. "The last name you'll ever here." He shot at us again and we narrowly survived the blast.
"This guy's using some serious fire power." I said.
"Yeah but even so I don't think he could of attacked this place alone." Stormer said.
I looked behind us and saw a huge monstrous figure with a massive drill walking slowly towards us.
"I think you might be right I replied." I said.
Surge shot the new  villain with all his power. The villain was not fazed and continued walking with a evil grin on his face.
"Oh-No." Stormer said.
"What is it." I asked Stormer. "Do you know these guy's?"
"The Fire Villains." Stormer said shaking. "I thought Jetbug was just a coincidence but Drilldozer too. It must be them. They used to be simple mining bots but there quest for power drove them to search across the galaxy to find fuel to increase there strength."
"That's why they came here." I realized. "This place has loads of fuel."
"Yeah. And if I remember correctly there's one more hench-bot we should be on the look out for." Stormer said.
"That would be me!!!" Said the final villain (At least I hope he was the last).
I shot all I could at him but there was no effect.
"And this is?" I asked Stormer who seemed to be the expert.
"Nitroblast!" He said. "We have no choice. We'll have to retreat."
I wasn't in the mood to argue with that order. We made a run for it and Nitroblast, Jetbug and Drilldozer pursued shooting at us constantly at us. Our Drop Ship had found a safe landing soon and as soon as we were on the ship's engines started and we were on our way. The thing on my mind was what will we do next?

2010 Villain Review: Bulk and Vapour

Hi,
I got this set for Christmas and it is awesome. It includes to characters, one hero and one villain, which is great for playability. On with the review...

The build was pretty good. I like how Bulks build steps up from his original form because of the extra accessories. Vapours build is good because it had more going on with the arms than the other villains. I'm not sure why but it just wasn't as good as I was hopping for. I'm giving the build a 9/10

Bulks new pieces are basic for the Heroes. He has the Sonic Boom weapon that is also found on Jimi Stringer. Vapour has the same helmet as Rotor but in blue. He also has Corroder's weapons on the side of his arms but recoloured in blue which is cool. He also has the armour piece that is used a lot on the villains but this time there's no stickers on it. I'll give the new pieces a 8/10

The playability is great. Since you have two characters you can have a battle with them and decide who wins. To improve the playability you could have Stormer and Stringer in on the action. I'm going to give the playability a high rating of 8/10

Overall I have no problems with this set. It may be slightly over priced but that doesn't really matter. Overall, I'm giving this set, not an 8, but a 9/10

The next review will hopefully be in February. Next will be the first part of Mission 2.0 which will be titled Mission 13: The Beginning of the End. Please comment and follow,

New HeroFactory Summer 2011!!!

Hi,
Here's a list of the new HeroFactory sets that are coming out later in 2011. It appears to be placed on a jungle planet with mutations attacking the Hero's made by the main villain, the Witch Doctor. Not much is known about the story but it appears that Rocka 3.0 is released in a bigger form. I'm not sure if Rocka is mutated by the the Witch Doctor or is rebuilt for battle against the villains. Here are the sets:

2143     Rocka 3.0
2144     Nex 3.0
2145     Stormer 3.0
2182     Bulk 3.0
2183     Stringers 3.0
2191     Furno 3.0
2282     Rocka XL
2231     Waspix
2232     Raw-Jaw
2233     Fangz
2236     Scorpio
2283     Witch Doctor

My favourites Nex 3.0 from what I've seen of the preliminary pics. Also, please fell free to tell me which one is your favourite. As always, please comment and follow,

Rotor Opinion

Hi,
I just did a review of Rotor and gave him a overall rating of 9/10. This set belongs to my brother so he's going to give his opinion of this set. Here it is:

I like his blades because they make him look cooler and give him more personality. I also like the way the feet are designed. The part I don't like about him is that there isn't any gaps for the eyes. Overall, I'm giving him the same rating as my brother did, 9/10

That was my brothers opinion on Rotor. The first part of Mission 2.0 will be coming towards the end of January after my review of Bulk and Vapour. Please comment and Follow,

2010 Villain Review: Rotor

Hi,
My brother got Rotor for Christmas and I think he is really cool. I like Von Nebula better and at first I didn't like Rotor at all but now that I've seen him I think he's great. I would suggest getting him even if you don't think he looks that cool because when you get him you will probably like him for the following reasons...

The build was quite good but there's more going on with the legs than any other part of him. The blades are not as hard as the look and the arms are easy. It may sound like I didn't like it but it was quite good and better than Xplode and Corroder. I'll give the build a 9/10

There weren't many new pieces but there was a lot of re-colours. Rotor's helmet is the same as Vapour's but in orange. It looks cool but it doesn't have gaps for him to see through which marks it down a bit. Another new piece is common in the villains and that is the new armour piece and on this model it has stickers on it. While I'm on that point this set comes with 15 stickers which is not to good for younger children but once there on there on and you don't have to worry about them. Anyway, I'll give the new pieces a 7/10

Now for the playability. Its quite good because of the blades but you need some Hero's to battle him for the ultimate play experience. I'm giving the playability a 7/10

Overall Rotor is great. In my review of Von Nebula I suggested Rotor instead and that is because of the playability that he comes with. Overall, I'm giving him a 9/10

Next will be my Brothers opinion on Rotor because this is his set. Also I've got Bulk and Vapour so expect a review of that in the near future. Please comment and follow,

2010 Villain Review: Von Nebula

Hi,
I got this for Christmas and its awesome. He is my favourite Villain and maybe my favourite HeroFactory set that was released in 2010. He has some cool pieces that were seen in the Bionicle series but in new colours. Now onto the review...

The build was great. There was a lot of cool techniques used in him and sometimes your not sure what's the function of a part is until a little latter in the build. As always with these types of sets the legs are very repetitive but that's fine hen you get to the overall look of the model. I'm giving the build an amazingly high 10/10

There weren't many new pieces but there are a lot of re-colours. I think the only new piece is the spikes on his upper arms which were also used on Xplode  but in a different colour. He comes with the pieces that were used as Tridax Pods in the Bionicle series except this time they're in a nice black/blue re-colour piece. The most notable re-colour is the mask which was used on Hydraxon in the Bionicle series. I'm giving the new pieces a 6/10

Now, for the playability. Since he doesn't have a Meteor Launcher he' got the same amount of playability as the Hero's. I'm giving him a 5/10

Overall Von Nebula is great and for a collector of HeroFactory he is defiantly going to be a centre piece. I would suggest getting Rotor instead for the younger kids but if your older then I would recommend him. I'm giving him a overall rating of 9/10

Thanks for reading this review, next will probably be Rotor. As always, please comment and follow,
